SCALE, MEASURING, TYPIST’S
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this
Commercial Item Description for all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE.
1.1 Scope. This description covers typist’s metal measuring scales for use as erasing guards, line guides, rulers, typewriter measures and file-punch gages.
1.2 Classification.
TYPE 1- Elite
TYPE 2- Pica
2. Salient characteristics:
A. The scale shall be aluminum alloy.
B. The scale shall be a minimum 0.064 cm (0.0253 inch) and a maximum 0.089 cm (0.035 inch) thick.
