COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
RULER, WOOD (DESK)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description, for all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE.
A. This commercial item description covers wood desk rulers for general office use.
2. Salient characteristics:
A. The rulers shall be made of selected hard woods, that meet the characteristics requirements of a wooden desk ruler. Wood shall ke kiln dried stock, free from imperfections such as chips, dents, flaws, and chipouts, which mar the appearance or which might impair the serviceability of the rulers. Characteristics common to wood such as mineral specks, burls, tight knots not exceeding 1/4 inch in diameter and birdseye will be permitted.
