(4) Examination for Preparation for Delivery. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B.4 shall be examined to determine compliance with Section 5.
5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY.
A. Packaging and Packing Provisions. Staple Strips totaling 5,000 staples shall be packaged to prevent damage during multiple shipments, handling, and storage. Packaged strips shall be packed in accordance with normal commercial practice. The packing container shall be closed to prevent accidental opening and shall be such to insure carrier acceptance and safe delivery to destination, complying with the rules and regulations applicable to the mode of transportation to be used.
B. Marking.
(1) Civil Agencies. In addition to any special marking required by contract or order, marking shall be in accordance with Fed. Std. No. 123. Bar code marking is required, unless otherwise specified (See Section 6).
(2) Military Activities. In addition to any special marking required by contact or order, marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129. Bar code marking is required, unless otherwise specified (See Section 6).
