B-            The consistency of composition A shall be 1200 to 1400 Saybolt Furol seconds at 38.7^oC (100^oF).

C-            The ink shall not cause deterioration of the coating or base tissue of the stencil sheet and shall produce acceptable reproduction on both sides of the mimeograph paper.

D-           When run with 18.1 kg (40-pound) chemical-wood mimeograph paper the ink shall produce clean and clear, black image duplicated copies without strike-through or set off sufficient to interfere with the legibility of the finished work on either side of the mimeograph paper.

E-            The ink shall not show an oily halo around character outlines when mimeograph on the 18.1 kg (40 pound) chemical-wood mimeograph paper.

F-            When printed copies are stacked, there shall be no objectionable transfer of ink from one sheet to the next.

G-           The ink shall not run or drip off cylinders or drums, shall not leak, and shall not clog the stencil carrier, ink distributor, and other components of the machine, as applicable.

H-           Color of ink shall be uniformly black and clearly legible.

I -            Odor, The ink shall at no time during a duplicating operation have or develop an objectionable odor.

J -            Shelf life. The ink in original unopened containers (tubes) and not subjected to extremes of temperature and humidity, shall retain its utility and serviceability as defined by this description for not less than 12 months from the date of receipt to the Government.

K -           (Usage instructions composition B only). Comprehensive instructions  for fitting the tube to the ink pump shall be provided by the manufacturer, and shall be enclosed with each tube of ink, or may be printed on the tube.
