Sampling of end item for visual examination.
From each lot in accordance with Inspection Level S-3. The AQL shall not exceed 2.5 percent defective. The sample shall be one tape.
Sampling of end item for tests. A random sample shall be taken from each lot in accordance with Inspection Level S-1. The AQL shall not exceed 2.5 percent defective.
Examination of end item for visual defects. Sample shall be examined for defects listed below. Any tape containing one or more defects shall be rejected. The Government reserves the right to classify any defects not listed.

Regulatory requirements. In accordance with section 23.404 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, the Government’s policy is to acquire items composed of the highest percentage of recovered materials practicable, consistent maintaining a satisfactory level of competition without adversely affecting performance requirements or exposing the supplier’s employees to undue hazards from the recovered materials.
Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. The preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
Note: Purchaser shall specify the tape dimensions and the machine on which the tapes are intended to be used.
When this commercial item description is used for procurement, the commercial item certification clause must appear in the solicitation.
