COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
TAPE, PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE (PAPER PHOTOGRAPHIC)
1. SCOPE
This Commercial Item Description covers photographic, pressure-sensitive adhesive tape.
2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
2.1 The tape shall be flat black (matte, no gloss) crepe paper for use in edging and blocking out purposes in the development and printing of photographic negatives. It may also be used for sealing cans of film.
2.2 The tape shall comply with the test requirements stated in section 4.3 when tested with the appropriate test methods.
Workmanship. The tape shall be uniformly constructed and free from defects which may impair usefulness of the material for the intended use. The adhesive shall be coated in a smooth uniform layer over the entire surface of one side of the tape backing. The tape shall be evenly and tightly wound with no voids. The edges shall be clean cut. When unwound, the tape shall not tear nor shall the adhesive separate from the backing.
3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
