herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own or any other inspection facilities and services acceptable to the Government. Inspection records of the examinations and tests shall be kept complete and available to the Government as specified in the contract or purchase order. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the CID where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that the supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.
Inspection of the end item. Sampling shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105, Sampling procedures and Tables for Inspection by Attributes. The inspection level shall be S-2 with an acceptable quality level (AQL) of 4.0 percent defective. The lot size shall consist of all packages containing one type and size of crayon offered for acceptance at one time. The sample unit shall be one crayon.
Testing. The crayons shall be tested in accordance with ANSI Z 356.1.
Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. The preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
Notes. Purchaser must specify type and size of crayon.
Copies of ANSI Z 356.1 may be obtained from the American National Standards Institute, Inc., 1430 Broadway, New York, NY 10018.
Copies of military standards may be obtained from the procuring contracting officer.
WHEN THIS COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION IS USED FOR PROCUREMENT, THE COMMERCIAL ITEM CERTIFICATION CLAUSE DOES NOT NEED TO APPEAR IN THE SOLICITATION.
