COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRRIPTION
FINGER PADS, RUBBER
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description as a replacement for Federal Specification ZZ-F-375 which has been canceled.
This commercial item description covers finger pads used by personnel to facilitate handling mail, index cards, etc.
1. Salient Characteristics:
Finger pads shall be made exclusively of natural rubber, synthetic rubber or a mixture of natural and synthetic rubber.
Finger pads shall have a roughened wearing surface and shall provide ventilation of the fingertips.
Finger pads shall be tapered to fit fingers.
The size and dimensions shall be listed in section 2.
Workmanship. Finger pads shall be clean, uniform in quality, and free from defects in material and workmanship which may affect serviceability.
