TAPE PRESSURE-SENSITIVE DESCRIPTION
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this
Commercial Item Description as a replacement for Federal Specification
L-T-90 which has been cancelled
1. Scope. This commercial item description covers transparent and colored pressure-sensitive adhesive tape which is intended for temporary mending and attaching, temporary identification, charting and decorating, Type II class A is for long-lasting mending purposes and may be copied by standard reproducing methods, as well as accepting typed or written characters.
2. Classification. This description covers transparent and colored pressure-sensitive tape of the following types and classes:
Type I - Glossy finish.
Class A - Transparent cellulose acetate, polyolefin, or unplasticized polyvinyl chloride film backing.
Class B - Colored cellulose acetate, polyolefin, or unplasticized polyvinyl chloride film backing furnished in red, white, black, medium green, yellow, medium blue, orange and dark blue.
Type II - Matte finish
Class A - Transparent cellulose acetate or polyolefin backing.
