REPAIR KIT, TAPE, PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE (PSA)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
Abstract. This commercial item description covers a pressure sensitive adhesive (psa) tape repair kit for the Parka and Trousers, Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS).
1. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
1.1 Description. The repair kit shall consist of a zip lock (resealable) poly bag containing a highly aggressive sensitive adhesive tape (3 by 15 inches) with a rubber based adhesive specifically formulated for cold temperatures below 0°F, a thermoset polyurethane barrier coating and a nylon tricot knit substrate, set on a differential silicone coated release liner (folded, not rolled); and an unfolded instruction sheet on how to and where to apply the tape, instructions facing out.
1.2 Material.
1.2.1 Kit bag. The kit bag shall be poly bag with zip lock (resealable) closure. The finished dimensions of the bag shall be 6-1/2 ± 1/2 inches in length and 4-1/2 ± 1/2 inches in width. The bag shall have two heat sealed side seams.
1.2.2 Physical properties of tape. The physical properties of tape shall be as follows;
