COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
CLIP, PAPER
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial
Item Description.
1. SCOPE: This commercial item description covers the
clam type paper clips used for clipping paper. The clips shall be of the
following Sizes, as specified.
Size 1 - Small; 20 sheet clipping capacity
Size 2 - Medium; 40 sheet clipping capacity
Size 3 - Large; 60 sheet clipping capacity
2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
A. Construction. Clips shall be of a CLAM CLIP design as illustrated in
Fig. 1 on page 3, with dimensions specified in Table I. Clips shall be made of
stainless steel and be capable of securing up to 20 sheets for Size 1, 40
sheets for Size 2, and 60 sheets for Size 3, of 75 g/m2 (20-lbm,
17” x 22” – 500 sheets) paper. Clips shall be reusable and shall be designed so
that they can be fed automatically into position in the dispensers specified in
Commercial Item Description A-A-2791A, , CLIP SYSTEM, PAPER.
